The infotainment features on new models at your Beach Ford dealership promise even more convenience with the all-new Ford Digital Experience. This in-vehicle connectivity technology elevates the features from previous SYNC systems with built-in Google apps and software. Learn about the technology and services that come with this infotainment system before you visit your dealer.

Ford Digital Experience Updates

The Digital Experience from Ford is a spin-off of Ford’s signature SYNC infotainment suite. Key updates for this infotainment system include built-in Google features, 5G Wi-Fi connectivity, and integrated Amazon Alexa. If you’re a driver who prefers to access infotainment apps through Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, these connectivity options are still available with the new technology suite.

Several apps are embedded as standard features for the Digital Experience infotainment suite, such as Bluetooth Audio and YouTube. Your infotainment system can play AM/FM radio, satellite radio via SiriusXM, and other music from smartphone-integrated apps. SMS text messages and USB-connected audio are also standard features.

Google Features

Embedded Google features are the focal point of Ford’s Digital Experience technology. Google Play gives drivers the freedom to download virtually any entertainment app, such as Spotify or Audible. The Google Assistant feature supports voice command technology to control audio volume, playlist playback, or ask for directions.
Built-in Google Maps provides real-time navigation assistance and destination insight with Google’s points of interest, which helps you find parking lots, stores, gas stations, hotels, and more. Plus, Google Maps can automatically reroute your destination based on current traffic information. Google Maps even gives you the option of choosing the fastest route, a route that avoids highways, or other routing preferences.

What Features Are Available Without the Internet?

If you lose your internet connection, you will still be able to access some built-in Google features, such as Google Assistant for voice command functions. Google Maps navigation will still be available if you enable offline maps in your settings, which allows Google to auto-download maps based on your current GPS location and predictive analysis of nearby destinations.
